The Oslo Writers’ League (OWL) is a group of authors and writers of all kinds, from all backgrounds, who write in English and live in the Oslo area. We assist our members with their manuscripts and projects, meet once a month to talk about all forms of writing and issues that affect writers, and every year we produce an anthology of short fiction, essays and poetry written by our members.

Our membership has more than doubled since the release of the first anthology, North of the Sun, South of the Moon, in 2013 we released our second anthology, All the Ways Home, a third in 2015, These Twisted Roots and most recently, Some Shape of Beauty in 2016. All profits from the sale of the first two books goes to a Norwegian volunteer organization, Utdanningshjelpen, which assists children in developing countries complete their secondary education. Profits from the third and fourth anthologies go to Save The Children.

We are proud to be an ongoing source of mutual support, development and, most importantly, inspiration for writers in the Oslo area.
